John Thaw Pre-Print Autograph

John Thaw signed autographs are exceedingly rare and command prices well in excess of £100. A pre-print is the next best thing. These are done by most of the acting fraternity and used as publicity stills and/or to satisfy the needs of fans. Our pre-print was exclusively done by John Thaw for the Inspector Morse Society and is of course taken from an actual autographed photograph (clearly visible on the bonnet of the Jaguar). It shows Inspector Morse beside his Jaguar at Blenheim Palace, Woodstock and was specially done during a break in filming there.

Size: 24cm x 20cm on high gloss photographic paper, designed to fit nicely into an A4 photo frame (as shown but not included).

Morse’s Three Print Problem

This specially commissioned watercolour by artist Douglas West is now a superb limited edition print of 248 (the number on Morse’s Jaguar numberplate). The illustration is taken from a watercolour entitled Morse’s Three-Pint Problem, a pun on how Morse liked to solve a case as opposed to Sherlock Holmes who found his tricky cases Three Pipe Problems. The scene is of Morse and Lewis at some country public house enjoying a drink while discussing their latest adventure. In the background can be seen the famous Burgundy Jaguar and beyond the Oxford skyline.

Each print is signed by Colin Dexter and the artist (Douglas West) thus making it a rare and collectable item. Each print is also individually numbered, bears the society logo, and title of Morse’s Three Pint Problem.

Print size is 33.0 cm by 49.0 cm and is designed to fit into a 50.0 cm by 70.0 cm standard frame with a 30.0 cm by 45.0 cm standard mount.

Will look beautiful on any wall.
